[GIVEAWAY] Can you be happy for 100 days in a row?

Before I start my topic today, just want to play a small game with you: Is your smartphone your slave or your master? Are you.....

* Constantly checking your smart phone device for emails, whatsapps, facebook news feed etc.
* Looking at your phone first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
* Feeling naked or that something is missing if you left your phone at home one day by mistake.
* Spending hours in a coffee shop or some other establishment that has wifi and losing complete track of time and of reality.
* Having a panic attack if your phone has 20% battery or less.

Having all of the symptoms above? Haha I believe everyone must be smiling to themselves now. We must all admit that we live in times where smart phones and tablets have us too preoccupied to stop and appreciate life's small joys. While the speed of life increases, we complain there is less and less time to enjoy the moment that we are in.

But I am sure you have heard of the #100happydays challenge! If you see your friends crazily spamming you with photos on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter everyday - you know they took up this challenge. It challenges participants to pause just once a day and snap a photo of something that makes them happy. Participants then share their daily delights on social medias in order to spread the joy and hopefully make another person happy, if just for a moment.

Basically I achieved all of them! ......except the last one hahaha. *failed*

Dmitry Golubnichy, the founder of this challenge says, "I believe that being happy is a choice and everyone can be happy just by appreciating little things in life one has instead of engaging in the constant chase for ever rising internal & external expectations, which leaves no time for being happy."

How?
Can't wait to start? First of all, register yourself at http://100happydays.com/!
There are three ways to get involved in the challenge:

1. If you're an Instagram, Facebook or Twitter user with no problem letting everyone know you're playing the game, you simply post your gleeful pic along with the hashtag #100happydays.

2. If instead you want to post the pics but aren't keen on telling eveyone why, you may come up with your own hashtag to share your pictures with and let the organizers know that it's code for the challenge to limit publicity.

3. Finally, you can even just email them your pictures.

For more of my happy moments, you can follow me on my Instagram @eunicethammm or search for my customised hashtag #eunicehappydiary. Hehe.

In fact, people have been telling me that I look happier than before and that I seem to have gotten my life together. I smile and tell them, yes I am.

I am at the happiest I can be at this moment. I have a great & supportive family, friends are there for me when I need them. I am studying a course that I really love and passionate about, and most important of all, I am in good health. Lots of exciting plans for my future and I know I am on the right path towards my dream. I wake up everyday looking forward to what's gonna happen on that day. What is there not to be happy about? Life is good!

Be grateful!

Interestingly, the simple sounding experiment has a failure rate of 71 percent. *Feeling proud to be the minority hahaha* Most of those who give up say they lack the time to get involved. 'These people simply did not have time to be happy, say the organizers. 'Do you?'

So, can you be happy for 100 days in a row? Take up the #100happydays challenge and spread the happiness! Share your stories with me and stand a chance to win a mysterious gift prepared by me, one and only in this world! :)

[FOOD REVIEW] Lemon Tree Restaurant @ Taman Melodies, JB

Still thinking of where to go for your next meal? Here's a recommendation for you JB foodies - Lemon Tree Restaurant at Taman Melodies, JB! Thanks to Kim, I had the opportunity to get to know this restaurant. :)

Lemon Tree Restaurant is slightly off the busy streets with a row of trees right in front of the shop, creating a peaceful and serenity feeling to customers who wish to escape from the hustle bustle of city life. It occupies two shoplots in Taman Melodies and you can easily spot the shop with the green signboard. The decor is simple and basic, suitable for all kinds of functions, family gatherings. And it is just a short distance from KSL Mall!

The moment I stepped into the shop, the song 'Lemon Tree' by Fools' Garden immediately captured my heart as I hummed along with it. I guess the owner of the shop loves music as much as I do too! They serve mainly Western cuisines, but there are local cuisines as well. I reached the place at around 7pm and there were not much customers at that time. But the restaurant was almost full when it was around 8pm. So it is better to call them to reserve a table if you are coming with a group of friends. Oh, they have free wifi too! :)

We were invited mainly to try out their desserts tonight, but we were famished so we ordered two pizzas before the dessert.

9 inch Pan Pizza

Before we eat, we sprinkled some cheese powder on top of the pizza, because we are all crazy cheese lover, aren't we? ;) The cheese powder was upon request, though. There are six slices per pizza, which I feel that it is more than enough for two people to share.
The Island Seafood (RM19.50), being the most popular among all the flavours, has fresh prawns, squid and tuna w bed of thousand island sauce, slice onion and mozzarella cheese. The crust is just nice plus the generous amount of ingredients on top of the pizza, yumm!
The Chicken Floss Pizza (RM17.50, not in the picture), has crunchy chicken floss w bed of mayonnaise sauce and mozzarella cheese. I personally prefer this flavour because it is not a flavour that you would get anywhere. Chicken floss! My all time favourite. :D
*Add cheese RM3.00

After a short break, here comes the most awaited moment - dessert time! But before that, let me introduce you the handsome pastry chef of the night - Kevin Sio!

 Behind the scene!

Kevin is the current owner of Sweet Moment Cake & Dessert and is in a partnership with the owner of Lemon Tree Restaurant. He has 13 years of experience in making all kinds of pastries, desserts and breads. (Such a young talent! :O)

Hop on to Kevin's Facebook page for more beautiful cakes of his!
Or you may contact him at 016-7102808 if you wish to make any reservation of cakes.

The first dessert of the night was Matcha Tiramisu (RM13.90).

I simply love the matcha powder sprinkled on top of the tiramisu cake, the fragrance of matcha lingers on my tongue, leaves me craving for more after each bite. The green layer you see in between is lady finger (a kind of light and sweet sponge cakes, a principal ingredient in many dessert recipes) mixed with Japan sweet wine, adding a little moist to the cake. *Contains alcohol.* I am not a big fans of Tiramisu but this is one of the best that I have tried. To be honest, this was my favourite dessert of the night! <3 p="">

Mousse Au Chocolat (RM14.90)

This is a must-try for dark chocolate lovers! Kevin used dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate as the top layer of the cake, with crunchy hazelnut feulitin as the base. Eating with the vanilla ice cream at the side, oh my, it was heavenly nice! The ice cream doesn't melt fast so don't worry if you wanna shoot pretty picture of it prior to eating. :p #letmetakeaselfie

Chocolate Cubes (RM14.90)

''All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt'' - Charles M.Shulz.
Well said! So we had the second chocolate dessert, which is these cute chocolate cubes. *Diet? What is diet?*
As you can see, you have to pour the spoonful of milk over the chocolate cubes before you start to eat. And also for this one, you can eat with the vanilla ice cream too. But what makes it special is the brownies cubes! The taste of the chocolate is really rich and I love how it is also not that sweet. All the girls closed their eyes and went 'mmmmm' after putting the brownies into their mouth. Puuurfect!

Chili Padi Sorbet (RM6.90)

Ahh you didn't hear me wrong. It is CHILI PADI sorbet. How's the spicy chili got to do with the sweet sorbet? Kevin shared with us how he wanted to make a difference and break the prejudice that spiciness and sweetness can never be put together. At first I was a bit scared so I only tasted a little. It tastes sour at first, but as the sorbet melts in my mouth, the spiciness comes - wow I would say that it was really a wonderful adventure for my tongue. However, I personally fancy sweet dessert more than a 'spicy' dessert, but still it depends on individual taste bud. Still couldn't figure out the connection between them? Come and have a try then! :)

Overall, we enjoyed the night and the food. The desserts made me totally forgot about my plan of dieting ooppss (They were just so nice!) I will definitely come back for more delicious dishes!

You didn't hear me wrong! You don't need a shop, you don't need to know marketing skills. With Carousell, anyone can be a business woman! Thanks to Carinn for introducing this awesome apps to me! :)

What is Carousell?
Carousell is an iPhone and Android app that makes selling as simple as taking a photo. All you gotta do is snap-list-sell! Listings are free, and it takes just 30 seconds to list! You can even buy what you want by chatting with the sellers right from the app.

Why Carousell?
1. Girls' saviour!

I believe not just me. Every girl have this first world problem - shop a lot, later to realize that you actually don't need them or you don't fancy them that much. And they ended up being dumped in a corner of your wardrobe, never been worn again. But now, fret not! Carousell is every girl's saviour because you can just Carousell them now!

2. Super simple!

Well, I must say they really understand we girls. I am the typical kind of girl who would just give up when the steps are too much of a hassle. But with Carousell, simply snap a photo, describe it, and list your item. Snap-list-sell! And it's free! What's not to love? :D Read on to learn the 3 simple steps!

3. It is sale going on every day!

You don't just get to sell items, you can buy from the other users too! You can easily get branded stuffs like Topshop, Forever 21, Cotton On, Padini, Gucci and so many more, with greatly reduced prices up to 80% off! Plus, you don't have to wander around the shopping malls making your legs ache! Pre-loved stuffs are particularly cheap, you can get a beautiful dress in just RM10 CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! If you don't fancy pre-loved items, there are some brand new stuffs too! Simply scroll on different categories to uncover hidden gems.

I can't wait to start Carousell-ing! Let's get started!

How to Carousell?
STEP 1:
Download the apps! It is available on both Android and iPhone. Search "Carousell" or you can use this link: http://carousell.co/ to find out more. Once you've downloaded it, create your account! Or you can sign up with your Facebook.

As you can see from the pictures below, they are divided into several categories such as beauty products, lifestyle gadgets, for him, for her, antiques, and even k-pop for k-pop lovers! You can click into each categories and search for things you like. You can also see how other users sell their stuffs and learn from them heh.

STEP 2:
See the ''SELL'' button on the top right of the page? Click on it to start selling! They will ask how do you want to take your photo, you can either
1. Use their inbuilt camera or
2. Choose an existing photo from your gallery.

It basically functions like Instagram where the photos have to be in square shape so do take note of this. Tips for better selling - take clearer pictures and be as detail as possible!

Look, they even have editing features for us! At the bottom column, you can choose to adjust the brightness, saturation, contrast, sharpening and vignetting, it is so convenient for us!

Here I am selling my Cotton On Yellow Sleeveless top.

STEP 3:
After taking the photos, they will bring you to the page as shown below. You are allowed to take 4 pictures so you can take pictures from different angle for clearer view. Then you will be asked to write descriptions about your item. One click and you can also share to your Facebook and Twitter to gain more exposure! :)

Firstly, categorise your item.
Second, briefly introduce your item. You may state the condition of your item, size, colour, where you bought them, reasons of selling, etc. You can also specify a place to meet the buyer! But if you are not specifying a place, you need to state whether you provide free shipping or there is extra charges to it.

Third, set a price and there you go! :)

You will then receive notifications if people liked your items, followed you, or commented on your items. They also have seller spotlight everyday!

Tadaaa so this is how my profile looks like. Do follow me and see if there is anything you like there! http://carousell.co/eunicetham/ I only sell good quality products! *guaranteed* hehe. To be honest, most of my items are brand new! And you can even rate me by +1 me under my name or leave me feedbacks or comments. This can be a reference to other users. However, I am still waiting for my first customer! Anyone anyone? *lelong lelong* hehe.
